Stay Paid Linux OS

Have you ever heard a statement saying that Linux was free? I'm sure ... all computer users, better yet, is being, will be or have been using Linux must have heard this kind of statement.

Is it true that Linux is free ...???

It's not about Free ... it's FREEDOM

Linux is free ... so many statements that we often hear. Free word if interpreted in the Indonesian language turns out to have two meanings, which is free and free. Free and free word distinctly different meaning. For example the word Free Sex ... have you ever interpret it as a free sex ... ? Of course not, because in this case means free sex free sex, which means obviously very different from free sex.

Well, unfortunately, in Indonesia there are many people prefer to associate Linux with the meaning of the word free, not free or independent. In fact ... Richard Stallman - founder of the Free Software Foundation (FSF), in his book Free as in FREEDOM - Linux is more linked with the word free or independent, rather than free.

So, Linux - according to the founder of the FSF - is not talking about Free (Free), but the Liberty (Freedom).

Errors on Linux continues

But ... somehow in Indonesia said the freedom and independence is more difficult to say than the word free. Not surprisingly, until even now is still quite a lot of Linux activists who prefer to mention Linux is free rather than free or Merdeka.

But in fact, little more can we understand this ... because it was an attempt to popularize Linux in Indonesia is not an easy task. Many computer users in Indonesia that have been lulled asleep with the convenience and use of pirated software and even tightly bound in shackles of software such as smoking or drug addicts that hard off dependence.

That is why the word free is more widely used to introduce Linux rather than the word free or independent. Because in fact it is easier to offer something for free rather than getting someone to fight to break away from the comfort of an already binding and membelenggunya for decades.

Linux is [NOT] Free

Yes ... Linux is [basically] Free ...!

But to get something gratispun sometimes we can not get for free ... Confused?!! The following examples clarify what is referred to above:

    * Request a CD Linux to Canonical: pay Internet access and electricity plus postage
    * Request a Linux CD from the Government: their funds from? official ... ? enggaklah, all of it paid from the money people.
    * Download Linux directly from the Internet: pay for Internet access and electricity plus then burn the ISO to CD / DVD
    * Message CD / DVD of Linux store: pay a few thousand to hundreds of thousands or even millions of rupiah
    * Copy CD / DVD Linux from a friend: pay CD / DVD burning empty and electricity for
    * Linux Magazine Subscriptions: pay a few hundred thousand dollars every month
    * Learning from the book Linux: out money to buy in book stores
    * Learning from Linux training ground: again and again pay for, and usually not cheap

Are you still convinced that Linux is 100% free ... ? Or you still insist on wanting a free Linux as happened in this conversation (funny but quite annoying, and unfortunately things like this mostly found in Indonesia.

It is clear that what was touted as Linux that Free is a big lie. Do not ever believe if anyone says Linux is free. To get the Freedom and Independence of Linux is clear there is a price to pay. Especially if you want to achieve freedom and escape from the shackles of pirated software, of course there is the struggle that you can never get for free.

Even the people we too have to fight hard to escape the shackles of colonialism. The same thing applies to us if you want to get the Freedom and Independence Linux. You have to dare to struggle to break away from the comfort provided by pirated software over the decades. There is a price that you pay to reach Freedom (Freedom and Independence), and of course it can not be obtained for free (free).

You do not have to wait another 350 years. The struggle to achieve freedom and independence is indeed heavy and certainly not free. However, if you want to see Indonesia Risen, start from yourself, start by freeing the contents of your computer from the shackles of pirated software.

So ... once again do not ever believe if someone says Linux is Freedom and Independence Grati
